Research studies have found that almost 2/3 of the people who begin an exercise program do not last for the whole year. If you were in this number the last time you made a resolution to start an exercise program, you will want to follow these ten ways to keep focus and reach your activity goals.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Although you may want to jump into your exercise program with vigorous exercise, you will want to start out slowly. Starting by exercising two to three days per week will keep you from getting sore and disenchanted. Work up to more days per week as you feel able. The most important thing is to be consistent.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Put your exercise schedules on your calendar, just as you do with other appointments. You need to make it a priority in your life.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Working out in the morning is best, if you can work it in. This will give you energy all day and will allow you to get it done before your day begins getting crazy.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Do not jump on the scale every day. When you begin an exercise program, the scale may not move, but you still may be losing fat and gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5. Find a role model to guide you. A fitness trainer or other professional can help you to find the right program that will work for you. By having a professional in your corner, you can better stay on track and stay motivated.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
6. Start a journal where you chart your exercise program and keep track of your progress.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
7. Give yourself a break. If you miss a workout or a whole week of workouts, do not give up. Just get back into your routine as soon as you can. The important thing is to be as consistent as possible, but it is not something that you have to do all or nothing to get results.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
8. Do an evaluation of your program every six to eight weeks to determine if you need to change or increase your workout intensity to keep yourself motivated and challenged.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
9. When you feel like skipping your program make yourself do some type of activity for ten to fifteen minutes! In most cases, once you start, you will not want to stop and if you do, doing fifteen minutes is better than doing nothing.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
10. Are you bored with what you are doing? Do something different. We know the idea of being physically fit and having a fitness workout&lt;br /&gt;
plan varies from person to person. The definition varies also from&lt;br /&gt;
person to person.  Although experts have an exact idea of what it means&lt;br /&gt;
for a person to be fit, it is questionable as to how many people&lt;br /&gt;
actually understand the definition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
There are several things involved to have a successful, and ideal&lt;br /&gt;
physical fitness plan.  If you are just starting out, or you have been&lt;br /&gt;
working on a regime for a while, the following are a few suggestions to&lt;br /&gt;
help you get the most out of your fitness plans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1. Cardiovascular workouts: Cardiovascular fitness is not only about&lt;br /&gt;
heart health, but also about your nervous system and your circulation. &lt;br /&gt;
Making sure to take care of this group can ensure that your brain and&lt;br /&gt;
lungs are receiving all the oxygen they need to thrive.  Walking,&lt;br /&gt;
pacing, and other exercises in this group are helpful in cardiovascular&lt;br /&gt;
health.  Aerobics, however, are great if you want make sure you are&lt;br /&gt;
giving your all for your heart health.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
2. Muscles: Working on muscles is another part of making sure your body&lt;br /&gt;
is physically fit.  Many of our daily activities would be impossible if&lt;br /&gt;
it was not for muscles.  Plus, muscles aid us in our weight loss goals&lt;br /&gt;
as they burn fat.  You can work on your muscles by lifting weights. &lt;br /&gt;
There are different weight lifting programs, but free weights are&lt;br /&gt;
usually good for beginners.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
3. Endurance: To have maximum muscle strength, you should also work on&lt;br /&gt;
your muscles’ endurance.  Endurance is vital to achieving your physical&lt;br /&gt;
fitness goal.  You should try &#039;testing&#039; how strong your muscles are. &lt;br /&gt;
You can begin by seeing how long you can support a specific amount of&lt;br /&gt;
weight, and slowly add more weight until you are able to determine your&lt;br /&gt;
muscles’ endurance level.  To further improve your level of endurance&lt;br /&gt;
you can go bicycling or use a step machine. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

4. Flexibility: Flexibility is your body’s ability to move in various&lt;br /&gt;
ranges of motion.  It can also gauge how well your joints are. &lt;br /&gt;
Flexibility should be an important part of your fitness program, as it&lt;br /&gt;
can help prevent injuries, and lessen pain.  Normally, the most&lt;br /&gt;
flexible athletes would be gymnasts or swimmers, but you can achieve&lt;br /&gt;
flexibility simply by remembering to stretch.  Yoga is another great&lt;br /&gt;
way to work on your flexibility.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
5. Body Composition: Body composition is how much fat against muscle&lt;br /&gt;
you have.  The answer can be achieved by your BMI (Body Mass Index). &lt;br /&gt;
It is ideal to have more muscle than fat.  Women have more fat on their&lt;br /&gt;
bodies than men do, which is why it often takes longer--and is more&lt;br /&gt;
difficult--for a woman to achieve her fitness goals.  Working on your&lt;br /&gt;
strength training and doing regular aerobics are both great ways to get&lt;br /&gt;
to your ultimate physical fitness level. So include these as much as&lt;br /&gt;
possible in your fitness workout plan to have all round fitness.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

When you begin a high protein diet for weight loss the dangers will not seem evident. To get all the protein your meat has to offer, you have to eat it raw or boiled.  When you eat meat, in large amounts it harms your  body long term. A high protein diet, if it could in fact help you to lose weight, would be more about the proteins themselves, and less about the source.  You can get more proteins from natural foods, like nuts, seeds, beans, and other legumes.  Not only will these foods provide the proteins that your body needs, but they can do it without all the harmful effects of meat.&lt;br /&gt;

If you must go with the meat diet, you should try to only eat red meat twice a week.  Try replacing the red meat with fish, or you can also have white meats, such as chicken or turkey.  When you cook the meats, try baking, steaming, or even stir-frying.  Cooking your meat on the grill will not only keep the meat healthy, but it also gives it great flavor.&lt;br /&gt;

In the long run, proteins can be important to build your muscle tissues; you just have to be careful of the type of meat you eat.  Always make sure to trim the fat off and prepare it immediately.  You should always eat the right portions for your body weight to achieve maximum results.&lt;br /&gt;
